This place is what small town France is all about. The food is simple, but everything is done right, which you don't see a lot in bigger, more commercial restaurants. Fresh ripe tomatoes from the garden, and with the eye to take out the crowns, lettuce with the cheeseboard all leaves individually cleaned and dressed and a simple fig dessert to absolutely hit all the taste notes, sweet, fresh, acidity, creamy, rich but light.- Trip type

This lovely hotel was an oasis for us as two tired cyclists. We were welcomed warmly and, staying for 2 nights, we qualified for the half-pension rate which gave us 2 nights, 2 breakfasts, 2 dinners and a lovely corner room (Apricot) for an amazingly reasonable price.||Food was excellent with many choices, beautifully presented and courteously served. We will definitely go back. The Mother and Son hosts were delightful.Wow. What can I say. The food that muma turns out is fab and very authentic. The flavours she puts on a plate are impeccable. The dinning room is intimate and very stylish and the wine list perfectly represents the Sancerre region. This place is a must if you are nearby.
Fantastic genuine restaurant. Very tasteful and a bit of different menu than others. Ran by people that understand a living room atmosphere.

Josiane nous a ouvert l'hôtel exceptionnellement pour nous, nous avons eu la grande chambre pour 4 couchage. les draps étaient très propres et ils avaient une bonne odeur de frais. Le bémol était la salle de bain un peu vétuste ou il faut éjamber la (haute) baignoire sabot et tirer le rideau pour prendre sa douche. Josiane et très arrangeante et force de proposition. We stayed one night at this Logis de France hotel. Josiane opened the hotel for us, especially for us. We had the large room for 4 people. The sheets were very clean and smelled nice and fresh. The downside was the bathroom, which was a bit old, where you had to climb over the (high) bathtub and pull the curtain to take a shower. Josiane is very accommodating and full of ideas. Thank you for opening your doors to us for our motorcycles and us...

Nous sommes venus dîner, restaurant dans un cadre à l'ancienne très charmant. Nous avons très bien manger les plats sont très bien servi, tout est fait maison. Nous cherchions un taxi la serveuse à appeler pour nous, sans succès de réponse, Elle nous à gentillement raccompagner. Ne changez rien c'était super nous recommandons les yeux fermés

Soirée à 2 dans un restaurant proche de Sancerre (à peine 5 minutes en comptant le temps de se garer).|Une petite porte dans la rue principale de Saint Satur, on entre ... la cheminée est allumée (du vrai feu de bois), on nous installe dans la salle, le décor... boiseries, poutres, toile tendue aux murs, petit côté vieillot mais pas désagréable ! La carte est réduite mais c'est tout simplement parceque la Cheffe ne cuisine que des produits frais et qu'elle est seule en cuisine (gage de qualité !). Nous faisons notre choix ... ouaou !!!!! Tout est délicieux ! La présentation soignée et originale ! (Voir photo du saumon), et les desserts miam !!!!!|Certes il faut un certain budget, sans que se soit exorbitant mais franchement aucun regret, c'était top ! A refaire !Traduction
Evening for 2 in a restaurant near Sancerre (barely 5 minutes including parking time).|A small door in the main street of Saint Satur, we enter... the fireplace is lit (a real wood fire), we are seated in the room, the decor... wood paneling, beams, canvas stretched on the walls, a little old-fashioned but not unpleasant! The menu is limited but that's simply because the Chef only cooks fresh products and she is alone in the kitchen (a guarantee of quality!). We make our choice... wow!!!!! Everything is delicious! The presentation is neat and original! (See photo of the salmon), and the desserts are yum!!!!!|Of course you need a certain budget, without it being exorbitant but frankly no regrets, it was great! To do again!
Toujours une halte gourmande sympathique depuis des années pendant les classics days. Des préparations maison bien agréables. Un baba au rhum divin une bouillabaisse si c’est la saison. Bref on s’arrête des que l’on est dans le coin.

Une jolie terrasse l'été, des fleurs sur les tables à l'intérieur... Le décor est bien en place. Un service rapide et très aimable. Le midi un menu EP à 18€ (ou PD à 20) proposant 2 choix. Une cuisine qui associe le goût et la vue. Pain et café sont au niveau. Une belle adresse à 100 m d'un parking et à 5 min de Sancerre.

A lovely terrace in the summer, flowers on the tables inside... The decor is spot on. Fast and very friendly service. At lunchtime, a set menu for €18 (or €20 for breakfast) offers two choices. Cuisine that combines taste and view. Bread and coffee are up to scratch. A great place 100m from a car park and 5 minutes from Sancerre.
